Castle Siege

Registration, Sign, the battle and what the castle owner gets.

What is Castle Siege

Castle Siege (CS) is the guild war for the server's castle. One guild defends, others attack, and the guild that is the winner at the end of the battle keeps the castle until the next Siege. The war takes place in Valley of Loren, which runs in its own room, separate from the 5 normal rooms and outside the room list.

The war is Every Thursday, from 21:00 to 22:30. The rest of the week is for registering your guild, doing the Sign registration and getting ready.

The first official Castle Siege has yet to happen. For now the castle belongs to the staff (ADMIN), the Land of Trials is open and the registration NPC says registration has not opened yet. The day and time of the official Siege are chosen by the players in the Siege Poll, with the NPC Marce in the Event Square: one vote per person (CPF). Until then, the server runs the demo Castle Siege (see below).

The cycle lasts 7 days and repeats on its own. Each stage has an exact time to start:

In the Castle Siege room, the /tempo command shows how long until the war ends.

Demo Castle Siege

While the official Siege has not started, Valley of Loren hosts a demo Castle Siege at 12h, 14h, 16h, 18h, 20h and 22h. There are 2 minutes of warning in all rooms and 1 hour of war. From midnight to noon there is no demo. ADMIN defends the castle and the guilds Noldor, Teleri and Sindar attack.

  • To watch, enter Valley of Loren during the war. Those without a side neither attack nor take damage.
  • To fight, use your CS Character without a guild. The CS Recruiter is in Crywolf, next to the vault: click on it, see the guilds, members and openings and pick one.
  • At the end of each war everyone leaves the guild, and you join again in the next round.
  • The castle always goes back to ADMIN at the end. Nothing from the demo counts for the official Siege.

How to register the guild

  1. Go to the Valley of Loren. This map runs inside the Castle Siege room.
  2. Talk to the Guardsman, the NPC in charge of Siege registrations. He doesn't work during the war.
  3. Choose the option to register the guild to attack.
  4. You can only do this between Friday 00:00 and Tuesday 23:59.

Requirement to register: the guild needs at least 5 members who are a CS Character or have 100 resets or more.

Only the Alliance Master (AM), the guild owner, registers the guild and withdraws the registration. Guild Master, Vice GM, Battle Master and Staff cannot.

  • You need to be in a guild. Without a guild, the Guardsman refuses.
  • The castle owner does not register to attack: they are the defender.
  • The attacker list has at most 3 guilds, picked by score (see below).

Sign of Lord and scoring

The Sign of Lord is the Siege item that gives points to your guild. Each Sign registration raises the guild's score. The right item is the level 3 Sign of Lord, and each registration uses 1 unit of it. The guild must be registered, and registration only works on Wednesday or Thursday (until Thursday 11:59). Only the Alliance Master, Guild Masters and Staff hand in the Sign of Lord and see the count.

What countsPoints
Each Sign registration5 points
Each guild member must be a CS Character or have 100+ resets1 point
Level of the guild owner (Alliance Master)1 point every 4 levels

The top 3 guilds with the most points enter the war as attackers. Those with fewer members make up for it with Sign of Lord.

A strong guild with many Sign of Lord climbs the list. Set aside your Sign of Lord before Wednesday.

The battle

At Thursday to 21:00 the war starts. Defenders protect the castle and attackers need to reach the crown, at the back of the castle.

  1. Fight your way through the castle. The gates and defense statues take a lot of damage, so it is teamwork.
  2. Reach the crown area. That's where the two Switch Crown and the crown are.
  3. Two players on your side must stand on the two Switch Crown at the same time. Without both occupied, the crown won't open.
  4. With both Switch Crowns occupied, the Alliance Master clicks the crown and holds the registration for 30 seconds straight without being interrupted.

Time does not add up between attempts: if the registration is interrupted, it starts over from zero. It takes 30 uninterrupted seconds. Protect whoever is on the crown and the Switch Crowns. The registration box shows "Accumulating: Ns" live and does not close your other windows. Clicking outside the Switch Crown platform does not remove you from it.

Whoever completes the crown registration becomes the winning guild right away. The war ends at 22:30 and the castle goes to the guild that is the winner at that moment.

RuleHow it works
PartyDuring the war, only players on the same side can join the party. The server rejects invitations from players on the other side.
MercenariesAt most 120 mercenaries in the war, one per map square. They are summoned by the Alliance Master, Guild Masters and Vice GM, with the Archer or Lancer contract from the Crywolf Supplier shop.
Joining and leaving a guildAllowed during the war. Whoever joins a registered guild gets their side instantly. Creating and disbanding guilds is locked.
Falling in the Dragon TowerWhoever falls or disconnects in the Dragon Tower during the war returns at Loren Deep, before the bridge, without buffs.
Life StoneOne per leader: the Alliance Master's and each Guild Master's, up to 5 per guild. Whoever dies respawns at the nearest one.
Crywolf Buff PointOnly for those registered in the war. The buff is lost when changing character or room and at the end of the war.
Elf BlessingDoes not work in the Siege or for the CS Character.
RingsThe Ring of Wind resists the knockback of the Blade Knight's skills, and the Ring of Earth resists the knockback of mounted charges.

Kills, deaths and crown time show at the top of the screen and count toward the rewards. Kills and deaths only count against rival guilds. Crown time counts in full for whoever holds the Switch Crown and partly for the party near it.

Only the Alliance Master clicks the crown.

Guild ranks in the Siege

RoleWhat it does in the Siege
Alliance Master (AM)Registers the guild, withdraws, registers the crown and uses all rank spells.
Guild Master (GM)Hands in Sign of Lord, summons guards, uses the gate lever and opens the command minimap. Has the Invisibility and Cancel Invisibility spells. The Dark Lord GM uses Remove All.
Vice GMSummons guards, uses the gate lever and the Invisibility and Cancel Invisibility spells.
Battle Master (BM)Uses Stun, Cancel Stun and Swell Mana.
StaffHands in Sign of Lord and sees the count.

Rank spells only work for those who hold the rank, and kill costs do not change. During the war, nobody appoints, removes or kicks Guild Masters, and the AM cannot hand over the post. Staff, Vice GM and Battle Master can change at any time.

What the castle owner gets

  • Chaos Machine fee: the owner sets a percentage, from 0% to 3%, charged on Chaos Machine combinations.
  • NPC shop fee: also from 0% to 3%.
  • Land of Trials entrance: the owner sets the zen fee charged to anyone who wants to enter, up to 300,000 zen.
  • Senior Mix: combination exclusive to the Alliance Master of the castle-owning guild, made with the Senior NPC (see below).

Outside the war, the Alliance Master, Guild Masters and the owning guild's Staff also use the Senior for gates, statues, taxes and withdrawing the castle's zen.

The castle owner does not register to attack: they defend the following week. If they lose, the castle changes hands. While the castle belongs to the staff, the Land of Trials is open to everyone and free of charge.

Senior Mix

The Senior Mix is made with the Senior NPC, in the castle, and only the Alliance Master of the castle-owning guild can use it. It does not work during the war. The result is an item drawn from the Senior Mix list.

IngredientQuantity
Bundled Jewel of Bless (pack of 10)3 packs
Bundled Jewel of Soul (pack of 10)3 packs
Jewel of Guardian30 units
Zen1,000,000,000 (1 billion)

The server allows only 1 Senior Mix per day, by Brasília time. If an ingredient or zen is missing, the combination is rejected and nothing is charged.

The CS Character in the Siege

Every new account gets a CS Character, already with the level and gear for Castle Siege. It lets you join the war on day one, without having to level a character from scratch.

  • It joins a guild and can also create one. To fight with your guild, ask the Alliance Master or a Guild Master for an invite.
  • It doesn't use the Chaos Machine, so it can't do Senior Mix.
  • It can't enter Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle or Illusion Temple.
  • It can't trade, open a personal shop or open the vault.
  • Only attacks during the war, inside the castle map: outside it, it does not hit monsters or other characters and does not duel.
  • In the war, drops on the ground what the Crywolf Supplier shop sells (including the guard contracts) and picks up pots from the ground.

Tips for your first Siege

  • Pick an Alliance Master who will be online from Friday to Tuesday to do the registration.
  • Do the Sign registration on Wednesday or Thursday.
  • Coordinate who holds the gate, who occupies the two Switch Crowns and who protects the Alliance Master at the crown.
  • Use the server voice to coordinate during the war. The Main voice room gathers the whole guild, and those in the Siege have the Attack and Defense rooms.
