Account and security

On MU Unit, the site sign-up and the game account are the same thing. You sign up once and log in to the site, the launcher and the game with the same login.

• Up to 5 accounts are allowed per person.
• The login is 4 to 10 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only.
• The password must be 8 to 20 characters long, with no spaces and no accents.
• Each account can have one CS Character, the war character ready for the Castle Siege. You create it at sign-up or later, in My account.

1. Log in to My account on the site.
2. Choose the password change and enter the current and the new password.
3. The new password must be different from the current one.
4. Confirm. The new password works on the site and in the game.

The new password must be 8 to 20 characters long, with no spaces and no accents. Older accounts may have a shorter password, but the new one follows this rule.

After the change, the password works on your next game login. In some cases the server takes up to 1 minute to apply it. If you can't log in, wait a moment and try again.

Don't reuse on MU Unit a password you use for email or banking. Don't share yours with anyone.

The personal number is a 7-digit code of your account. In every room, the game asks for it to delete a character, lock or unlock the vault, confirm a vault swap, and leave, kick from or disband a guild.

1. Go to My account on the website and open Password and security.
2. Your number is shown in the In-game personal number box.
3. To change it, type the new number twice and the account's current password.
4. Done: the new number already works in the game.

Every account starts with the number 1111111. Change it to a number only you know and don't tell anyone: with it, your characters can be deleted.

Anyone who turns on two-step verification (see below) types the authenticator's 6-digit code for the vault trade instead of the personal number. It can be the MU Unit app on your phone (you enter the code or approve it there) or Google Authenticator. The app code is not the personal number.

In the game you get 3 tries: on the third wrong one the game disconnects you. Just log in again and type it carefully.

With two-step verification, besides the password you enter a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds on your phone. Even if someone finds out your password, they can't get in without the code.

1. Install an authenticator app on your phone: the MU Unit app, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or 2FAS.
2. Go to My account on the site, open Password and security and tap Turn on with an authenticator app.
3. Scan the QR code with the app (or copy the key and paste it into the app).
4. Type the code the app shows. Done: verification is on.

• On the site, the code is asked at every login. Without your phone, you can get the code by the account holder's email.
• In the launcher, use Sign in through the site: the code is requested in the browser and the launcher stays connected. Token sign-in can also be approved by the MU Unit app on your phone.
• The game opens through the launcher without typing anything. With verification on, a password typed straight into the game doesn't work.

Changed phones? Before deleting the old app, turn verification off on the site and turn it on again on the new phone. Lost your phone? Turn it off with a code sent to the account holder's email.

Turn on two-step verification

Premium is the paid plan for the account. Every account starts as Free and can become Premium whenever you want. The purchase is made with your account's credits.

Every game account created until 10/31 gets 30 days of welcome Premium, once only, at the moment it's created.

• If you buy again while Premium is still active, the new 30 days start when the current one ends. You lose nothing.
• Premium gets 25% more experience hunting by hand, vaults 1 to 20 (the Free account uses the Trade Vault and vaults 1 and 2) and the /reset and /buff shortcuts.
• Auto UP, auto reset, the in-game AI (F12) and the voice Party mode are Premium only.
• The staff (GM and admin) always have Premium.
• The level required to reset is also lower on Premium in several reset ranges. The full table is on the reset page.

The staff may adjust the price and duration of Premium. The price shown on the site and in the launcher at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

PIX contributions, when active, are in My account. If it shows as unavailable, try again later.

How reset works · My account

The vault stores your items and is tied to the account. Vaults are numbered, and the Trade Vault is separate. The Free account uses the Trade Vault and vaults 1 and 2; Premium goes up to 20.

• In the game, with the vault closed, use /bau trade or /bau followed by the vault number.
• The Trade Vault is withdraw-only. It receives purchases from the Shop and the Market, and you can no longer store items or zen in it. What was already there you can withdraw freely. Timed Shop items arrive without a time limit.
• To trade an entire vault with another player, open the vault and click the trade button (or use /tradebau with their name). Both see each other's vault and confirm with the personal number or the authenticator code. The Trade Vault does not take part in the trade.
• The CS Character doesn't open the vault.
• If the staff has the account kit turned on, a new account starts with items in its vaults. The launcher tells you this on the create account screen. With the kit off, vaults start empty.

Game commands · Buy and sell on the Market

• Respect other players. Insults and discrimination get you blocked.
• Using hacks, cheats, bug abuse or exploiting flaws is forbidden.
• An account is personal. Sharing an account is at your own risk.
• KS in a spot isn't forbidden, but a party in a spot is respected.
• The Castle Siege has its own rules: only the Alliance Master registers the guild and the crown, the Sign of Lord and the Switch Crown have their own rules, and during the war the party only accepts those on the same side. Details are on the Castle Siege page.
• Alliances no longer exist: the game has only guilds, with ranks inside them.
• Programs that alter the game, speed hacks and cheats disconnect you and can lead to a ban. The anticheat also requires opening the game through the launcher: anyone who opens it without the launcher is disconnected.
• Offensive names, or names of characters that impersonate the staff, get blocked.
• Selling an account or item for real money outside the official shop is forbidden.

The rules may be updated. The version in force is always the one on the site.

Castle Siege · Reset

The MU Unit staff never asks for your password. Not in the game, not in chat, not by message. Whoever asks is not staff.

• Only download the game and the launcher from the official site and always open the game through the launcher.
• Only type your password in the launcher or on the official site.
• Turn on two-step verification: without the code from your phone, nobody gets into your account.
• Be wary of anyone offering items, Premium or accounts outside the site. Selling for real money outside the official shop is forbidden.
• Don't lend out your account. If someone uses it and messes up, it's on you.
• Suspect a break-in? Change the password, use Log out of all others in Password and security and contact support.

Ask support for help

1. Open the site's support page.
2. Tell us what happened: what you tried to do and what showed up on the screen.
3. Enter the account login and the character name. Never enter the password.

Support only through the official channels, which are on the site. A message from a stranger claiming to be staff doesn't count.
