Economy, market and credits
How to sell and buy items on the Market, what credits are, the item Shop, Premium, the vault and where Zen comes from.
The server's two currencies
On MU Unit you trade with two currencies. Zen is the game's own currency, which you earn by playing. Credits are the site's currency, kept in your site account.
| Currency | Location | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Zen | On the character and in the account vault | Market, resets, moving between maps and NPC shops |
| Credits | In your site account balance | Market, Item shop and Premium |
Credits are a bonus: whoever contributes by PIX receives 1 credit for each R$ 1, in their site account (/conta). Credits are not money.
Player-to-player market
The Market is where one player sells an item to another. You choose whether to get paid in zen or credits. The price is yours, within the limits the Market shows when you list.
The server holds the item while it is for sale. It stays locked until the payment goes through, so neither side gets scammed.
- In the game: click the Market button, in the row of buttons near the voice button. It opens the Market window with the Buy, Sell and Mine tabs.
- In the launcher: use the Market tab (the external Market).
- On the site: go to /mercado with your account.
Market earnings become money
What you earn selling items for credits in the Market can be withdrawn by PIX. Credits you bought, got from the staff or received from another account of yours stay for use in the game and can't be withdrawn.
- The part of the sale the buyer paid with purchased credits counts as earnings.
- Each earning stays on hold for 7 days before it is released, to protect the buyer's payment.
- The minimum withdrawal is 20 credits, one request at a time.
- The minting fee is 20% of the amount withdrawn and stays with the server, for security and transfer costs.
- The staff checks it and pays by PIX within 3 business days, to a key in the registration holder's name. A refused request returns the credits in full.
- When you spend credits, the server uses purchased ones first and earnings last.
How to sell an item
- In the game, open the Market and go to the Sell tab. With the window open, click an item in your inventory (an item you are wearing can't be listed).
- Enter the price and choose whether to be paid in zen or credits. The window shows how much you receive after the fee.
- Confirm. The item leaves your inventory and goes on sale.
- Through the site or the launcher, the item leaves one of your account's vaults. For that, the account must be out of the game: the vault can only be touched while the account is disconnected.
- When someone buys, follow it in the Mine tab. Sale in zen: click Receive and the zen goes to the character. Sale in credits: the amount goes straight to your site balance.
| Rule | How it works |
|---|---|
| Rate | 10% of the sale price, in both currencies |
| Rounding in credits | The credit fee always rounds up. Example: selling for 10 credits pays 1 in fees; for 100 credits, 5 |
| Listing duration | The listing stays up for a few days and then expires. The Mine tab shows the status of each one |
| Withdraw | You cancel one of your listings and the item returns to you |
| Renew | On the site, an active listing can be renewed so the time limit starts over |
| Item without a serial number | Not allowed in the Market |
The CS Character can't trade, open a personal shop or open the vault. Sell with your other characters.
How to buy
- Open the Buy tab and use the item type and currency (zen or credits) filters to find what you want.
- Click the listing and confirm the purchase.
- Buying with Zen inside the game: the Zen comes out of your character and the item goes to your inventory.
- Buying with zen on the site or in the launcher: the zen comes out of the account's Trade Warehouse and the item goes to a warehouse the buying account can use. That is why the account must be out of the game and have free warehouse space.
- Buying with credits: the amount comes out of your balance right away and the seller gets paid right away.
Buying with credits on the site or in the launcher doesn't go straight to the vault. The item stays in the Mine tab as purchased, waiting for you to claim it, and you send it to the buying account's vault, with the account out of the game. In the game, the item goes to your inventory; if it doesn't fit, it stays in the Mine tab for you to claim.
You can't buy your own listing. If the price changes while you're looking, the Market warns you and you refresh the list before trying again.
Item shop
The item Shop sells items chosen by the staff for the site's credits. In the game, it opens from the Shop button, in the same row of buttons as the Market.
- Open the Shop and pick the item.
- Pay with your credits.
- The item goes straight to your Trade Vault, even while you are online.
- Open the Trade Vault (at the vault NPC or with /bau trade) and withdraw the item to your inventory.
The item Shop only works when the staff turns it on and puts items up for sale. If the Shop button says it opens soon, it is still off. Meanwhile, the way to get items with credits is the player-to-player Market.
If the item does not fit in your Trade Warehouse, the purchase is refused and nothing is charged. Free up space in the warehouse before buying.
Account vault
The vault is the space to store your account's items and zen, shared among your characters. The main one is the Trade Vault (/bau trade): this is where Shop purchases, sales, rewards and Market zen land. It is only for those transactions: you can withdraw what is there whenever you want, but you can no longer put items or zen into it. The Free account uses the Trade Vault and vaults 1 and 2; Premium goes up to 20. If Premium ends, what was left in the higher vaults stays there, view-only. Each vault holds up to 2,000,000,000 zen.
- In the game, /bau trade or /bau followed by the number picks the vault you will open.
- The site and the launcher can only touch the vault while the account is out of the game. If you get an error, log out of the game with that account and try again.
- The CS Character doesn't open the vault.
Vault swap: two players swap a whole vault, with the items and the zen, without the trade window. It works across different rooms.
- Each player opens the vault they will swap (chosen with /bau). It can be any vault the account uses, in any room.
- One clicks the swap button at the bottom of the vault and types the other's name (or uses /tradebau with their name). The other has 60 seconds to accept.
- Once accepted, both vaults lock and each player sees the other's vault, with the items and the zen.
- Each player clicks Confirm and types the personal number. The vaults change owners and the open vault already shows what came in.
- Both keep the vault open until the end, with the items unlocked. Closing the vault or clicking Cancel before both confirm cancels the swap, and nothing changes.
- Items with Jewel of Harmony refinement, items that cannot be traded and timed items block the swap. The game tells you what to take out of the vault and nothing is swapped.
- A vault above the account's limit, which only opens to view, cannot be swapped.
Jewel Bank
The Jewel Bank keeps jewels as an account balance, taking no room in your inventory or vault. All your characters share the same balance. It opens with the J key or the jewel button at the bottom of the inventory, next to the inventory.
- Stores: Jewel of Bless, Soul, Life, Creation, Guardian and Chaos, Gemstone, Jewel of Harmony, the two refining stones and the eZen (one at a time).
- Store: select the jewel in the list and click Store. Every jewel of that kind in your inventory goes to the bank, loose and bundled; a bundle counts what it holds, from 10 to 120.
- Store all: moves every jewel in your inventory, of every kind, at once.
- Withdraw: 1 takes one loose jewel; 10, 20 and 30 take a bundle, which uses a single slot. You need a free slot in your inventory.
- With the vault, a trade or your personal shop open, the bank does nothing; close the window and try again. Padlocked items also need to be unlocked first.
eZen
The eZen is 1,000,000,000 (1kkk) zen packed into a red star, the Zen (1kkk) item. It is in the Shop, on the Jewels/Zen tab.
- Do: the /ezen command turns 1,000,000,000 zen into one eZen. There is a 10% fee, so /ezen costs 1,100,000,000 zen. It needs inventory space; if the eZen does not fit, the zen is returned.
- Auto UP: on the Reset tab, on reaching 1,100,000,000 zen it does /ezen on its own and keeps leveling.
- Selling: at the NPC, each eZen is worth 1,000,000,000 zen.
- A character carries at most 2,000,000,000 zen. Sell eZen with no more than 1,000,000,000 in your inventory so you don't lose the difference.
- Trading: eZen goes through trade and the Market as an item, so you can hand over several kkk in a single trade.
- The eZen can be dropped on the ground and passed hand to hand in the party.
Where zen comes from
Zen comes mainly from killing monsters. The amount is based on the monster's level, not experience: the same monster gives more zen to players in higher phases than to those just starting, because zen goes up each phase (see Progression by phase). Each piece with the excellent zen option (shield, armor and rings) adds a bonus to the zen that drops. A reset costs 2,000,000 to 30,000,000 zen depending on the tier; the table is in Reset and points.
- Hunting: the higher the monster's level, the more zen per kill, whatever your level. On Auto UP a Free account gets less zen than it would hunting manually.
- Selling on the Market for Zen: other players pay for items you no longer use.
- Events: check the times in the events guide.
Dying takes no zen or experience. To spend your zen on potions, Priestess Reira in Kalima and the town NPCs sell them in stacks of 5, 10 and 15 units, and the Antidote in stacks of 10.
The CS Character doesn't gain experience or zen from hunting. It starts with 100,000,000 zen, and the /zen command refills it to that amount when the balance drops below 20,000,000.
